The garden of living juwels

Inspiration for the garden

This formal design features a cascading water feature. It makes use of orange, yellow, black, red and white; mirroring the colour of the Koi fish in the central pond. The plant boxes combine Aloe striata with a brighter planting of Carex ‘Frosted Curls’ which highlight the aloe’s colours, as well as, the Alocasia ‘Black Magic’, arum lilies and the wall that surrounds the garden.

A large cycad commands attention with its strong form in the front bed while combinations of bold foliaged plants contrasted with “strappy’ leafed plants of various sizes, add both to the visual impact and exciting textures in the garden.

Plant of the week – Tulip
